Van Canto - Hero Metal A Capella
Van Canto do hero metal a capella. Five singers and one drummer, bringing you a new experience in melodic metal. No guitars, no bass, no keyboards can be heard, all instruments as well as the guitar solos are done by voices of van Canto.
This unique cast brings you songs every hero loves: passionate lead vocals, epic melodies, dramatic arrangements and the kind of positive aggression metal needs to be metal.
The self-produced debut album A Storm to Come is released in December 2006 and gets heard very well in the metal scene. Already in their first year of existence, van Canto is a regular guest on german festivals like RockHarz-OpenAir and shows that the extraordinary performance works out great live.
After having reached more than 200.000 visitors on the band’s youtube page, showing the self produced clip of the band’s hymn „The Mission“, A Storm to Come is re-released via Gun Records in December 2007. More shows follow, amongst others 2 arena shows with Nightwish.
2008 will be a good year for van Canto heroes. Besides producing the 2nd album, together with Blind Guardian producer Charlie Bauerfeind, van Canto is confirmed for Wacken Open Air, world’s biggest metal festival.
