Dark Forest Based out of Canada, Dark Forest has released "Demo 2005" (2005), and a full length album "Aurora Borealis" (2006).   Dark Forest is an Epic Metal project which deals with concepts of nature, heathenism and battle, with heavy references and connections to Norse mythology. 2003AD - 2005AD Dark Forest was created in late 2003 by David Parks.  Using the recording gear available, he created the one-man project under the title 'Dark Forest'. The first full recording of Dark Forest was titled 'Among Silent Pine' was completed in summer 2003.  This would appear as the ending track on the first release.   The writing process continued from here until the first few months of the year 2005.  A four track Demo was arranged and released that summer, titled 'Demo 2005'. 2005AD - 2006AD With gaining support in the local metal community, live interest started to appear. A live session lineup was assembled in September of 2005, only two months after the release of 'Demo 2005'. Just prior to this same time, in August 2005, the writing process for the first full-length album had begun.  This began with the composition of the song that would be known as 'Wind and Waves'.   2006AD-Current Aside from continuous writing, the live lineup played four promotional shows for 'Demo 2005' in the local area in 2006.  With much success, interest also grew in Europe during this time.  Media sources labeled Dark Forest 'Vinlandic Pagan Black Metal'. The month March 2006 marked the completion of the writing process for the now titled 'Aurora Borealis'.  It was self-recorded in the summer of 2006, and released in September.   Along with even more support for 'Aurora Borealis', came bigger opportunities for the lineup.  In this same month of September, Dark Forest was invited to play the Heathen Crusade II festival in the United States.  This marks the first out of country performance by the lineup. David Parks currently continues the writing process for a new album, with a title that is not to be revealed yet.  It channels the atmosphere and traditions of Dark Forest into a new level of presentation.  This newer material shifts more towards a historical viewpoint. Norzk Новичок Фото | Цитата | В оффлайне | IP Услышала эту группу я недавно, на Black Metal Radio, точнее - песня Wind and Waves с единственного альбома Aurora Borealis. Я до сих пор не могу сказать, чем она меня так зацепила, что я несколько часов подрят искала, альбом по всем поисковикам, в итоге наткнулась только на сэмплы и еще одну полную песню с этого же альбома, а так же интернет магазины, где можно заказать диск. Очень живая и одновременно меланхоличная и холодная атмосфера, бласт биты и вокал выдвинутый на передний план... Одна из редчайших групп (точнее, две эти песни), которые производят на меня эмоциональное впечатление и просто удовольствие при прослушивании. У кого есть полностью альбом Aurora Borealis? Поделитесь, пожалуйста. Буду очень признательна... Оффтоп: название, конечно, очень оригинальное...
