It has been a couple years since BMA’s flagship wrecking ball (both on and off stage), Found Dead Hanging disbanded and slightly less than that since the trudging, gloom-core stylings of Word as a Virus were put to rest with the passing of vocalist Shaun Luu, when he lost his tragic battle with brain cancer. It has been a long hard road for both of these Syracuse, NY bands, but we are proud to announce that the wrecking ball has been unleashed again in the form of Architect.

The main point of the Architect has been to keep it burly and heavy.

Picking up where both groups left off, Architect have harvested the strongest components of each band and honed their style into a new bulldozer, posed to rival any heavy band that stands in their way. The band is more focused and has left behind some of the confusing quirkiness of Found Dead Hanging and they have upped the momentum from the slow pace of Word as a Virus.

The result of the hardships, maturing and growth of both bands is this paramount, battering ram debut, All is Not Lost. The band head charges into a very blunt and direct attack on politic issues, religion, blind faith, trends, and Big Brother with its infringement on civil liberties, while paying homage to their fallen comrade, Shaun Luu. Complete with the explosive touch of producer Jocko, Architect’s debut is an intense and inciteful listen.

Вот отличная новоиспеченная штатовская банда из бывалых бойцов, играющая убойный хк. Но не прямолинейный, а с ломанным ритмом и всякими выкрутасами. Но это не мешает дико прущей агрессии и жестокой жёсткости. Да, и в ритмических дебрях есть, за что зацепиться))

Хлопцы преподносят настолько мощный материал, что вполне могут встать сразу в один ряд с титанами жанра. А может и надрать кое-кому из них задницу!

Дебютник звучит около 31 минуты. Заряжено в нём 11 композиций)). Я не знаю, какие ощущения у танкиста, находящегося в танке, в который попадает снаряд. Но после прослушки этой работы, я подразумеваю у вас будут схожие ощущения.

Кстати, уже кое-кто из критиков сравнивают по некоторым элементам Архитекторов с Mastodon, The Dillinger Escape Plan и ISIS. Пожалуй, так оно и есть... Но всё же у банды вырисовалось своё лицо.

Показательные композиции, например: Trepanning For Oil, Collapse the War Engine, Broke Dick Dog и 8-ми минутная(!) The Giving Tree.
