Информация о группе Wodensthrone are a Black Metal band formed in winter of 2005, in Sunderland in the North East of England, by founding members Brunwulf, Wildeþrýð, Gerádwine, and Hréowsian. Their first outing was the self-recorded A Tribute To Our Glorious Dead, followed by the split 7" with Niroth. The band also entered the studio to record 2 more songs, 'Scinlaeca' and 'These Isolated Lands' which would eventually emerge on the 'Over The Binding Of The Waves' split CD with Folkvang (Belarus) on Ancient Nation records. Eldbeorn joined the band on guitar in 2006, completing the line-up and adding further depths of melody and savagery to the band's sound. By the end of 2007,the band re-entered the studio to record 'The Scouring' and to put the finishing touches to their material for the split with Folkvang. In 2007 the band appeared live alongside Negură Bunget and Fen in the Sundered Lands; one of the defining moment's in the band's history. Later they also confirmed their alliance with Bindrune Recordings, and began focusing on their debut full length. During the Winter of 2007, Eldbeorn decided to leave the band for personal reasons, and so Rædwalh, of That Hideous Strength, was asked to join as a replacement. While spending time with Negură Bunget in 2007, the band were made an offer to record their then-written debut album, Loss, in Romania. The summer of 2008 saw that opportunity realised when Loss was recorded during a two week period at Negura Studios in Timisoara. With Huppogramos and Arioch at the studio helm. Following the recording it was decided that Æðelwalh would leave Wodensthrone both due to personal differences with the band. The band have yet to find a replacement. И вот в этом году выдала,наскольк я понимаю,дебютный полноформатник-Лось.Музыка весьма мелодичная,в частности из-за более менее мягкого звука и обилия клавиш,акустической гитары,солячков.Записано на твёрдую пятёрку-не к чему придраться по поводу звука.Может кому слишком мягко и вылизано покажется,но я не отношусь к такой категории.ЕЩе хотелось бы отметить обложку-хоть на стену вешай.Такой диск не пройдёшь.Ну и содержание под стать.... В кой-то мере да про пост-рок.Прог рока нет.Нестандартное построение в атмосферик блэке-довольно типичное явление,клавиши тоже в блэке не так уж и редки. Скорее это просто качественный атмосферик с сильным влиянием пагана в виде лирики(насколько я понимаю),фолковых мотивов типа темки Pillar Of The Sun.
